Restructuring and Advice

This may include working with directors to understand their cash management and where savings can be made. Often a “fresh pair of eyes” is able to spot opportunities for savings which may not have been considered. We are able to assist in preparing reviews of the business for both internal purposes and to support new funding applications.

An alternative scenario may be that you are looking to acquire a business which is currently Insolvent, in which case we can guide you through the process and provide support with the acquisition from and Insolvency Practitioner.

Equally you may be owed money from a business which has entered an Insolvency process and require assistance in registering your claim and understanding the likelihood of receiving a return on your debt. Whilst creditors meetings take place very rarely, we are available to represent you and your claim at any meeting.

As a director, you need to have an understanding of the legal obligation and responsibilities which go with that role.

Our professional regulations stipulate that we are required to inform you of the following: Martin Smith and Nicola Meadows are both licensed in the United Kingdom to act as Insolvency Practitioners by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. They are bound by the Insolvency Code of Ethics which can be found at Insolvency Code of Ethics When acting as Receivers, Administrative Receivers or Administrators, they act as agents only, without personal liability and when acting as Administrators, the affairs, business and property of the company are being managed by them.
